Description:

Trinity Teaching and Learning (TT&L), headed by the Academic Secretary, comprises a number of units that support the quality assurance and enhancement of curriculum through teaching, learning and assessment support, course proposals’ development and approval, student and course evaluation, technology enhanced learning, employability, and equality of access 


Reporting to the Head of Academic Practice, the positions of Academic Developer will provide leadership and expertise in the area of higher education teaching and learning in order to support Trinity’s key education objectives and respond to the national initiatives in teaching and learning. The duties and responsibilities attached to the post include, but are not restricted to, the following general areas:

  • Supporting the Trinity curriculum by developing and enhancing innovative approaches to curriculum design and implementation utilising, where appropriate, digital learning technologies.
  • Creating an environment where teaching staff can gain the confidence to experiment, deliver and evidence the effectiveness of different learning experiences for students
  • Co-develop and deliver specific, or aspects of, modules teaching and learning practices in higher education as part of professional development for teaching staff and/or professional staff supporting student learning
