Academic Development Lead

The Faculty of Medicine and Health is in an exciting period of expanding its health program offerings and redesigning its flagship undergraduate Medicine program to align with the future needs of the health workforce. The Medicine Program Redesign (MPR) project has been established to develop and implement the revised program. The Academic Development Lead is a key role with responsibility to collaborate extensively with key stakeholders and drive the innovative development and delivery of a redesigned curriculum for the undergraduate Medicine program. The role will be responsible to coordinate case-based course development. and will also be expected to map from the existing curriculum to the new curriculum to successfully drive educational outcomes for the Medicine program.

Who You Are
 

• A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence and fostering this in others.
• Demonstrated success in program design, curriculum development and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, development and delivery of courses and programs, at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
• Experience of implementing educational technologies, digital assessment and online delivery methods.
• Demonstrated experience in written assessment design, development, delivery and evaluation at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
• Evidence of professional development of teaching practice in self and others with the ability to advance and lead an inclusive culture of excellence in learning and teaching.
• Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity diversity and inclusion initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with the profession and industry and attract funding for learning and teaching initiatives.
