We are working on an exciting opportunity with leading company in the Kildare area. Due to progression within the team, they are now inviting a qualified accounting professional to join their finance team as an FP&A Accountant.

This is a broad accounting position and the ideal next step for a financial accountant looking to step up in a broad role. The opportunity will allow exposure to financial reporting, management reporting, analysis and projects with plenty of progression opportunities.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Management reporting on assigned projects;
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for assigned projects;
• Challenge budgets vs actuals with relevant stakeholders;
• Assist in month end processes, monitoring overhead costs;
• Assist with the statutory reporting process;
• Provide scenario analysis to assist management in decision making;
• Identify opportunities from improvements and efficiencies in current process.
• Assist with external audit requests;
• Ad-hoc projects as they arise.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

• Qualified accounting professional (ACA, ACCA or equivalent);
• Must have 1-3 years PQE, with industry experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Self-starter and ability to prioritise deadlines;
• Strong technical ability and good attention to detail;
• Advanced excel user skills preferred.
