Our client's Global Statutory Controllership Team is looking for a highly motivated, dynamic finance expert to join our Controllership function. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of finance, tax, and legal compliance, ensuring statutory and tax governance for Microsoft’s legal entities worldwide. You’ll also play a key role in driving process excellence, automation, and strategic initiatives that shape the future of our global finance operations.

What You’ll Do:

🔹 Statutory Accounting & Financial Oversight

• Own the financial close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS & US GAAP
• Lead external audits and statutory financial statement preparation across multiple geographies
• Ensure seamless onboarding of new entities into standardized processes

🔹 Tax Compliance & Advisory

• Oversee tax filings, payments, and audits in collaboration with local providers
• Partner with the International Tax Team to ensure global tax compliance
• Manage statutory entity closures and finance readiness for legal entities worldwide

🔹 Stakeholder & Relationship Management

• Build strong partnerships with external auditors, tax authorities, and advisors
• Collaborate with internal teams—Accounting, Treasury, Legal—to drive governance excellence
• Act as a trusted advisor for finance-related statutory and tax matters

🔹 Process Excellence & Automation

• Work closely with our outsourced finance team (Accenture, EY, and others) to enhance global processes
• Identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and improve efficiency in statutory accounting
• Support the implementation of new accounting standards and compliance frameworks

🔹 Other Key Responsibilities

• Cash flow management and forecasting
• Reviewing and approving balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting people-related financial queries in coordination with HR and Payroll teams
• Ensuring compliance with local government reporting requirements

What You Bring:

✅ ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified professional with 4-5+ years of experience in a large organization

✅ Strong technical knowledge of IFRS & US GAAP with hands-on experience in statutory financial statements & external audits

✅ Solid background in tax computations, filings, and audit management
