Overview of the Post:
Overall responsibility for the provision of administrative support to the Children’s Disability Network Team in Cavan which will include coordination of support on a day to day basis and ensuring the smooth running of the assigned administration function. This includes provision of support to the Children’s Disability Network Manager and all of the teams involved in the provision of services to children.

Overview of Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To manage/provide full and efficient cover of reception area at all times, including operation of switchboard and dealing with client and service queries in a professional and efficient manner
  • Demonstrates the ability to arrange and schedule activities and to work independently and under own initiative.
  • Demonstrates sufficient administrative skills to meet the specific needs of the post.
  • Makes decisions in a well-judged and timely manner bringing all relevant information to bear.
  • Maintains the person’s right and family’s right to a relationship of mutual trust, privacy, confidentiality and responsible use of information.
  • Forms strong positive working relationships across all areas of the service, builds on a common understanding.
  • Works in collaboration with the other members of the team in the planning and delivery of services.

The successful candidate will have

Essential Criteria:

  • A recognised and relevant Secretarial/Administration Qualification or relevant experience working in a similar role
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in administration
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience of working with Healthcare Database Software or similar system
