Description:
The Executive role is to perform tasks required for the development and implementation of government funded, industry-led apprenticeship programmes for Irish Medtech and Polymer Technology Ireland. This will include coordinating activities and functions for two apprenticeship programmes (Manufacturing Engineering and Polymer Technology) ensuring the goals and objectives for the programmes are accomplished in accordance with business priorities.
The role includes adhering to operational and governance procedures while maintaining key stakeholder relationships, including member company relationships and government agencies.
The role will report directly to the apprenticeship project manager.
- Key Activities & Responsibilities:Be the first point of contact for day-to-day operations of the apprenticeships project and provide support and guidance to employers and education providers, escalating matters as appropriate.
- Work closely with the Apprenticeship Project Manager to identify, lead and deliver key business development projects across the two apprenticeships Programmes to ensure that multistakeholder management is at the core of all activities.
- To scope out new employer opportunities and develop a pipeline of companies to fill the apprenticeship intakes across the regions.
- Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the highest quality business engagement in line with the strategies of the apprenticeship projects.
- Liaise with academic institutions, SOLAS, National Apprenticeship Office (NAO), Higher Education Authority (HEA) and other State bodies and maintain a harmonious and effective working relationship.
- Develop, schedule, and coordinate the apprenticeship programme intakes and registrations efficiently to a high standard, within timelines and budgets; oversee daily operations and coordinates activities of the intakes, determine priorities.
- Ensure optimum efficiency and compliance to the relevant government agency policies, procedures, and specifications, maintain all appropriate records in an orderly manner and ensure compliance with data protective legislation.
- Update the project database to ensure that KPI data is tracked and kept up to date.
- Deliver reports to the project manager as required for HEA funding requirements.
- Carry out secretariat duties for the project manager and consortium committee and advisory groups as assigned.
- Draft communication and promotional literature for distribution such as newsletter, brochures or flyers and coordinates printing and distribution, this is done with the guidance of the project manager.
- Maintain and update project websites, LinkedIn pages.
- Provide input into operational and future plans for the apprenticeship project.
- Assist project manager in recruiting companies to engage in the apprenticeships, utilising the most appropriate promotional or marketing methods such as individual letters, brochures or presentations at meetings.
- Carry out other duties as identified by the Apprenticeships Project Manager that are appropriate to the overall purpose of the role.
