Description:
Reporting to the Production Supervisor this position will be responsible for assisting the production supervisor in leading a team of production operators, interpreting high level requirements and transferring these to daily objectives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safety, managing safe working practices and ensuring high environmental standards within your team.
- Adhere to control room disciplines.
- Quality, ensuring that production is working to required standards in a zero defects culture, following standard work.
- Delivery, controlling and managing the day to day production to achieve takt, build to schedule and on time delivery targets.
- Identify the needs of your team and train existing and new team members.
- Identify production concerns and communicate same to Production Supervisor.
- Productivity, pursuing continuous improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance to all general site Rules, Regulations, and Policies.
- Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility to accept and fulfil any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time
Experience Essential:
- Qualified to minimum of GCSE level or equivalent.
- Significant production experience gained in a highly pressured manufacturing environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work to and meet strict deadlines and able to adapt to changing priorities & goals.
- Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office packages.
