Description:
The Assembly Team Leader will be responsible for their area and be accountable for all aspects of the team’s performance. They will ensure GMP requirements are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- To organise, task manage, plan and prioritise.
- Headcount management.
- To provide training – cross training, multi-skilling, job-rotation.
- To conduct recruitment and induction.
- Ensure GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements are maintained.
- Production planning to meet customer demands.
- To guide others to problem solve by teaching/ advising/ guidance.
- Conduct trouble shooting support and root cause analysis.
- To provide hands-on support.
- Ensure good communication is maintained with direct reports as well as senior management.
- Ensuring progress is monitored, problems and solutions are both identified and recorded.
- Inventory control.
- Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed.
- Communicate with Production Manager regularly.
Experience/Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
- Strong people leadership, interpersonal and communication skills are required.
- Knowledge and experience of materials/ inventory planning systems is essential.
- Skilled in the use of lean principles, 5S, Kaizen, Waste elimination, Green Belt is advantageous.
- The ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet tight deadlines.
