Assistant Accountant

Description:

Our client is a start-up organisation in west Dublin and they are currently growing their team and have a vacancy for an experience part-qualified Accountant or Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. This will suit an experienced Accounts Payable professional looking to move to a broad accounting position or a part-qualified ACCA accountant or Accounts Technician with 2-3 years experience.

About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Ownership of the Accounts Payable process ensuring invoice postings are on time.
• Build relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
• Assist the Financial Controller with preparing the monthly management pack.
• Maintain strong financial controls around cash management, payments, bank reconciliations, and invoicing.
• Assist the Financial Controller in preparing year-end Financial Statements for the Audit Committee.
• Assist with VAT returns

Experience/Requirements

• Qualified Accounts Technician or part-qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA)
• 2-3 years experience in Accounts Payable
• Experience with implementing system optimisations or process improvements.
• Flexible and adaptable to changes within a dynamic start up environment.
