Assistant Audit Manager

Merry Mullen are looking for an ambitious, high-achieving individual seeking a new challenge in a collaborative and forward-thinking Audit and Accounts Department. This position offers opportunities for progression, challenging projects, and learning and development.

 

You will be part of an experienced management team, who are responsible for carrying out the audits and accounts production of a large portfolio of clients across multiple sectors. Our team’s large portfolio of clients cover a wide industry base across a wide range of industries.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead teams on the planning; execution; and completion of audits.
  • Provide technical auditing and accounting assistance to team members and clients.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients of variable sizes across different industries.
  • Proactively manage client expectations and be point-of-contact for clients.
  • Coordinate and project manage the allocation of staff resources to jobs.
  • Report directly to director on engagements.
  • Assist with managing the team’s financial performance e.g. agreeing and billing of fees; cash collections; monitoring recoverability of WIP etc.
  • Participate in the coaching, mentoring and appraisal of staff.
