An opportunity to join a top 10 global Chartered Accountancy firm with a strong presence in Ireland. With a focus on providing exceptional audit, tax, and advisory services, they have built a reputation for delivering excellence to their clients. Currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Audit (Associate) Director to join the Commercial Audit team. This role is ideally based in Dublin but other key city locations can also be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Audit Engagements:
- Oversee a portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring timely and accurate completion of audit engagements
- Review and supervise audit work, providing guidance and feedback to team members
- Identify and address complex audit issues and propose suitable solutions
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, acting as a trusted advisor
- Proactively identify opportunities to provide added value through advisory and consulting services
- Understand client needs and tailor audit approach accordingly
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and motivate a team of audit professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide regular coaching and guidance, and promote professional development
- Engage in recruitment activities, contributing to the growth and success of the team
Requirements:
- Professional Qualifications:
- Experience:
- A minimum of 7 years of audit experience with a proven track record of delivering high-quality services
- Demonstrable experience in managing and leading audit engagements for a diverse range of commercial clients
- Knowledge and understanding of Irish GAAP, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is an advantage
- Experience in a top 10 or a Big 4 firm is highly desirable =
- Technical Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of audit methodologies, practices, and procedures
- Proficiency in using audit software and financial reporting tools
- Strong understanding of Irish GAAP and experience with Irish legislative requirements
- Leadership and Communication:
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team of audit professionals
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships
- Strong business acumen and the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
