(ILIM), the investment management company within Great-West Lifeco (GWL) Group, manages assets of circa €100bn and provides fund management services to a large domestic and international client base. We provide investment products to both institutional and retail clients, offering a full range of products from our value driven active and indexed fund management processes.

In addition to providing a wide range of internally managed funds, Irish Life Investment Managers also work with other companies in the group to facilitate making a selection of external fund manager (EFM) mutual fund offerings available to clients.

This is a growing part of our business and we are looking to recruit a specialist to assist with the growth in this area. The Market Data & External Manager team within Business & Technology Services (BTS) are responsible for ensuring that new external funds meet certain operational criteria and can be added in an efficient and risk controlled manner.

Reporting to the Head of Market Data & External Managers, the main responsibilities include:

• Completion of operational diligence for external manager fund arrangements
• Monitoring and reporting of external manager fund arrangements

The successful applicant will also be required to:

• Liaise with other ILIM teams as required.
• Assist with reviews of our data feeds and costs and monitoring of data feeds.
• Support the introduction of new products and initiatives, from identifying and analysing improvements through to implementation.
• Participate in systems upgrades, implementations and business continuity testing.
• A good understanding of the investment funds industry
• A good understanding of the pricing and valuations process, external fund pricing points and price feeds
• A questioning attitude and strong problem solving skills coupled with an ability to follow through on problems to completion
• Computer literate and numerate with good IT capabilities, especially Excel
• An ability to work at speed accurately
• Flexible and willing to take significant ownership and responsibility for tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
