My Dublin City Centre based client is recruiting for a Business Analyst to join the team on a permanent basis. This role will be working on a hybrid model. The Business Analyst will define scope., requirements, & requirement artefacts across the programme of projects across Client, Strategic and BAU Change. The Business Analyst will be a key role in the eliciting of requirements from a mix of technical and non – technical business resources and translating them with developers and signed off as part of the project delivery lifecycle. The Business Analyst will be part of the Change Team and is a subject matter expert (SME) The Business Analyst will work across all of the departments, including Operations, IT, PMO, CRE, Compliance, Lending, Finance & MI, and clients to ensure business requirements are defined & delivered to provide maximum benefit to the business.
Job Responsibilities
- Requirements & Design
- You will host workshops to elicit requirements from business/clients, challenging status quo & mindset to ensure the best possible design & benefit realisation
- Conduct high quality business analysis & provide clear business requirement documentation/ functional specs
- Identify & escalate important systems issues
- Playback of requirements back to business/client
- Communication/translation of the requirements to IT
- You will ensure appropriate approvals for sign off of requirements
- You will provide support to UAT team understanding requirements for translation to test scripts, handover on data structure knowledge
- Process Definition
- You will work with SMEs to capture to be processes & supporting documentation always with a customer first mindset.
- You will ensure sign off of process documentation in a timely fashion to allow for controlled delivery throughout the project lifecycle
- You will engage with the Project Manager, Change Leadership and/or functional leaders to document business improvements and/or issues.
- Data Reconciliation/Issues
- Supporting the data query log activities
- Supporting and driving closure of data issues
- Methodology/Training
- Documents are clear, concise, and accurate
Experience Required
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a business analyst in financial service or insurance sector.
- Have significant experience & knowledge of supporting change in a mortgage servicing business; on/offboarding, digital/customer journey/transformation/BAU change
- Have experience in MS Office including Word, Visio, & high degree of knowledge in Microsoft excel & experience analysing large data sets
- JIRA experience
- Have experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools
- Have experience of data analysis & ability to present complex information in an understandable manner to all areas of the business
- Problem solving & root cause identification skills
- Be able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
- Have strong understanding of all aspects of systems implementation & software development life cycles
- Have strong financial analysis skills with the ability to review, understand & interpret loans interest & billing history
- Have a proven track record of excellent communication & customer service skills enabling successful collaboration with key stakeholders and ability to translate client requirements into tangible requirements/ deliverables
- Have experience working with technical & business teams to translate internal & external business needs to drive functional and technical requirements
