Description:
The Business Development Consultant will play a pivotal role in expanding Athena Women’s Network’s reach and impact. You will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships, driving membership growth, and creating opportunities for collaboration with like-minded organizations. The role requires a proactive, strategic thinker with strong communication skills and a passion for women’s leadership and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage with potential partners and sponsors, fostering relationships to enhance Athena’s visibility and offerings.
- Drive the acquisition of new members, focusing on professionals and business owners who align with Athena’s mission of empowering women in leadership and entrepreneurship.
- Develop and implement business development strategies that align with Athena’s growth goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to curate new programs and initiatives that appeal to current and prospective members.
- Actively participate in networking events, conferences, and workshops to promote Athena Women’s Network and identify potential growth opportunities.
- Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential partners and sponsors.
- Track and report on key business development metrics, including membership growth, partnership engagement, and revenue targets.
- Stay informed about market trends and opportunities that align with Athena’s mission and community goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or partnerships, ideally within women’s networks, professional organizations, or the leadership/entrepreneurship sector.
- Passion for empowering women in business and advancing gender equity in leadership roles.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and seize new opportunities for growth.
- Experience in membership acquisition, event sponsorship, or partnerships is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- A solid understanding of leadership development, women’s empowerment initiatives, or similar fields is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
