Our client is a rapidly growing life science reagents company with offices in Dublin & London. They offer over 120,000 kits, antibodies and assays to leading scientists globally. They are a privately held company with global exports & operations in 70 countries including Ireland, UK, USA, Asia and Europe.

Currently seeking a highly motivated, full-time, Business Development Manager (BDM) based in its Dublin office to help build a truly global brand. You will work at a senior level, developing strong relationships in the life science research market to grow new business. As part of the senior management team, you will work closely with our CEO & CSO to support the strategic development and delivery of the annual sales plan. The role also includes responsibility for managing existing clients and delivery of agreed sales targets and KPI’s.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced salesperson with potential to step into a new challenge in a senior role.

  • Achieving set monthly targets in respect of existing business and new growth as part of the company strategy
  • Identifying, developing, and closing sales by prospecting and activity
  • Providing accurate weekly, monthly & quarterly forecasting data as well as updating the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Implementation of future company sales strategies as part of the senior management team
  • Understanding & selling the full product portfolio in-line with company strategy
  • Actively managing leads through the sales process. This includes using emails, phone calls and other communication channels to proactively meet sales targets
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key customers
  • Providing expert for the successful implementation of sales & marketing strategy
  • Actively prospecting for new leads using in-house digital tools
  • Overseeing digital outreach processes including maintaining and updating CRM
  • Adhering to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Maintaining technical knowledge through courses and in-house product training
  • Following procedures and policies
  • Excellent track record in new account generation and overachieving sales targets
  • Business development experience
  • A high degree of customer service orientation & excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work in a SME company (fast paced, ability to get stuck in, problem solver)
  • A positive attitude about company and marketplace
  • Experience working in the life science market
