Business Development Manager

 

Description:

This role works to improve the organization’s market position and achieve sustainable financial growth. This person defines long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, manages the tendering process, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. It is their job to work with the internal team and other managers to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue and margin in line with our business plans. To achieve this, they need to find potential new customers, present to them, ultimately convert them into clients, and continue to grow business in the future.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Meeting with New and Existing clients to promote the company and generating sales.
  • Developing Market Intelligence and identifying project opportunities.
  • Assisting in sourcing particular skill sets and disciplines to service projects.
  • Developing relationships with key influencers.
  • Maintain the CRM system with up-to-date data.
  • Identify and develop potential acquisition targets to support growth of the business.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Develop supply chain mapping for our key markets.
  • Monthly Reporting on market analysis, business opportunities, incoming bids and bid development.
  • Coaching and mentoring of individuals to support the development of a high performing team.

 

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Professionally qualified/Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation.
  • 15+ years of sales, marketing, proposals experience.
  • Strong IT knowledge
