Campus Porter

Description:

The role of a Porter is an essential part of the Multidisciplinary Team within the Hospital. The Porter works closely with all disciplines for the benefit of patient care and under the direction of their Line management, CNM2, Nursing Staff and other staff within the areas assigned.

Responsibilities:

This Job can be summarised as having a number of components.

General Portering role:

• General and clinical Waste – internal and external
• Patient moves and handling on campus including theatre transfers
• Patient positioning within theatre
• Cleaning of theatre equipment
• Cleaning of theatre
• Stocking of theatre laundry
• Equipment moves and handling
• Medical Gases
• Campus stores deliveries
• Specimen collection
• A high degree of flexibility will be required in the exercise of your duties on a day to day basis.
• Any other duties requested by hospital management
