Description:
The Caseworker will be responsible for providing quality case work, information and supports to migrant workers coming through MRCI’s Information & Drop in Centre.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide specialist information, advice and assistance to migrant workers and their families in areas such as family reunification, immigration, irregular migration, employment permits, social protection, and employment rights.
- Conduct and participate in regular analysis of the issues facing migrant workers coming to the MRCI.
- Advocate and negotiate with government departments and other agencies on behalf of people coming to the Drop in Centre
- Contribute to the overall GDPR and data compliance in the Drop in Centre.
- Input data into the Case Management System (Salesforce) and contribute to its development.
Essential
- Experience of the Irish context of advocacy/casework in immigration or employment or a related filed.
- Experience of information provision on a one-to- one basis.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong commitment to tackling injustice, anti-racism and advancing migrant worker rights.
- Education to degree level in law, human rights, social rights, social policy or equivalent.
- Experience using technology for documentation, data management, and virtual communication.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise a busy and varied caseload effectively.
