UCD Foundation is an independent registered charity that works to advance the strategic goals and objectives of UCD.  Working with a proud, global community of UCD alumni and friends, our purpose is to solicit and steward impactful philanthropic investment in student support, research, and campus development.  The Board has decided that in line with its new future-focused strategy, a new and exciting post of Chief Executive Officer should be created.  This rewarding opportunity exists for a strong professional, and authentic leader.

Reporting to the Board of UCD Foundation, the Chief Executive Officer has strategic oversight of the management and operation of the organisation. They oversee a staff of approximately 50 positions and a budget of more than €3m across fundraising, alumni relations, communications, stewardship, and information and data services.

The CEO is tasked with the delivery of the Foundation’s financial targets, the safe and reliable running of the Foundation, the implementation of successful development campaigns and alumni engagement strategies, and community and stakeholder engagements. The successful candidate will provide visible and inspiring strategic and operational leadership and direction to the organisation. They will also assume the key executive leadership role within UCD Foundation with responsibility for the management and operation of this ambitious Development and Alumni Relations focused organisation.

In addition, reporting to the Chairperson and the Board, the CEO is tasked with:

·      Implementation and further development of Board-approved strategy.

·      Development of a cohesive, impactful development campaign for UCD.

·      Development of a robust alumni engagement plan aligned with the strategy.

·      Promote and maintain the Foundation’s mission statement, values, and ethos.

·      Improving the ambition and performance of the Foundation and, in particular, its revenue generation capabilities and the efficiency of its operations.

·      Leadership and management of staff and the other stakeholders on campus.

The CEO operates within clear policy guidelines set by the Board and will work closely with the Chairperson and the Board.
