Chief Financial Officer

Boyden have been retained to assist in the appointment of a CFO for an Irish-owned chemical manufacturer and distributor. The business has enjoyed significant growth and is on target to further increase revenue and profitability, with a large proportion of revenue generated within Ireland.

Reporting to the CEO, this is a newly created senior role in the organization and will work closely with the CEO to formulate and deliver the company's strategy. The CFO will lead and manage the Finance, Human Resources and Customers Services teams and oversee the IT function.

We are searching for candidates with:

• A recognised accounting qualification eg Chartered/Certified Accountant.
• A minimum of 5+ years’ experience at CFO or equivalent level and experience within a manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Experience of International markets is beneficial.
• Strong financial and IT skills and ability to report accurately and on time.
• Demonstrable ability of understanding the levers for growth and how to exploit them (both organic and acquisition)
• Previous strategic experience of high growth/challenging environment
• A track record of identifying potential business opportunities and managing the acquisition and integration process.
• Sound business acumen and driven to achieve objectives in a changing environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work at both ends of the spectrum-strategic as well as detail focused and willing to roll sleeves up when necessary
