Description:
Sonas Technical currently have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Site Engineer to join our client, who are a leading civil engineering company. As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing a residential development project, working on 400 unit apartment blocks, as well as road infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the construction site, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team to ensure that all work is completed in accordance with the project specifications.
- Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to on site, and implement corrective measures where necessary.
- Monitor and report progress to the Project Manager on a regular basis, highlighting any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Review and approve all work plans, designs, and drawings, ensuring that they meet the project requirements.
- Provide support to the Project Manager in the preparation of project reports and other documentation.
- Ensure that all documentation is accurately maintained and up-to-date, including site diaries, material requisitions, and change orders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in site engineering, with a proven track record of overseeing large-scale residential development projects.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, with the ability to implement and enforce them on site.
- Sound knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Proficient in the use of construction-related software and tools.
