Role Overview

Team Background
- You will join our Corporate Business Client Services team.
- Reporting to our Senior Account Manager, you’ll own your own portfolio. And you will also work with a seasoned team of client services and senior client services managers across our pensions and risk team.
What you will help us achieve
- Pro-actively manage a portfolio of our largest Pension and Risk clients, developing relationships at multiple levels within client organisations, and bringing ideas and insights.
- You will be also be maximising and growing the delivery of profitable sales, margin and retention targets for an assigned business area.
More specific responsibilities will include
- Pro-actively manage a portfolio of our largest Pension and Risk Corporate clients, developing relationships at multiple levels within client organisations, and bringing ideas and insights.
- Build relationships with senior executives in our client companies (e.g., HR Directors, CFO) to develop an understanding of their benefits goals and drivers of success.
- Provide consulting support and solutions to corporate pension & risk clients as they review the impact of Auto Enrolment on their workforce.
- Take responsibility for driving the overall Irish Life relationship with key employers, ensuring that they are familiar with the breadth of solutions available.
- Take a leading role in Irish Life strategy initiatives, including development of consultancy approach and materials across Irish Life Group services.
- Represent Irish Life, pension, risk & health services – reporting on performance, outlining future developments and implementing supports which will be of benefit to the clients.
- Implement IORPS II and other governance requirements for portfolio of clients
- Manage Irish Life’s relationships with professional trustee companies.
- Be recognised as a “go to person” by their clients, and a trusted advisor who will get problems resolved and help identify solutions.
- Operate effective monitoring to identify threats to our business and respond appropriately.
What you will need to be successful in the role
Qualifications and Experience
- Suitably qualified subject to MCC requirements, i.e. QFA or grandfathered in the role.
- Appropriate third level qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Ideally qualified or working towards AIPM, QPT or other professional designation.
- Substantial pension and risk employer consulting experience, with strong technical knowledge and an ability to communicate effectively at many levels of our client organisations.
- High level of commercial and technical awareness.
- Knowledge and experience of managing relationships with key clients in the corporate pensions & risk sector.
- A track record of identifying and delivering consultancy solutions to enhance client organisations’ benefits structures and supports.
- Experience in collaborating effectively with peers and colleagues.
- Communication skills (verbal and written) and a strong focus on delivering and exceeding client requirements and expectations.
