Clinical Nurse Specialist Telephone Triage Oncology

Description:

This is an NMPDU funded post to implement a service improvement initiative aimed at providing a non ED direct access route to a specialist nurse for oncology patients who are experiencing a disease or treatment related complication. The appointee will also contribute to patient assessment and act as a point of contact for patients in the out-patient setting. The appointee will provide increased access to specialised oncology nursing care for patients receiving Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies (SACT) and Oral Anti-Cancer Medicines (OAM) to further enhance patient safety and minimise risks.
