Organisation Overview:
Clinical Trial Foundations (CTF), as part of Clinical Design, Delivery and Analytics (CDDA), delivers innovative and reliable systems, processes, and information to enable clinical development and speed medicines to patients. The area is going through a strategic expansion currently and has a need for Decentralized Clinical Trial (DCT) Project Management. The Associate/Senior Associate - Clinical System Project Management will support operational activities within CTF for their assigned area. The role will be based in the Global Business Solutions (GBS) centre in Cork, This role will collaborate closely with members of the CTF team, as well functional leaders and subject matter experts across CDDA, Quality, Learning & Development, IDS (Information & Digital Solutions), Finance, and/or Procurement.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a deep understanding of assigned area processes, workflows, responsibilities, and integration points across the end-to-end clinical development process.
Drive the application and integration of key project management processes and tools to deliver value in assigned area, with quality on time, on budget and within scope.
Partner and communicate effectively across CTF, the CDDA, and other functional areas to support regular operations and process improvement.
Independently create and manage operations and project plans as needed for assigned areas; ensure realistic timelines for deliverables.
Ensure a change control process is in place to gain alignment with peers and leaders in managing modifications to plan timelines, deliverables, milestones, resourcing needs.
Manage governance and documentation needs for assigned area.
Ensure quality and operational excellence of teams, support performance of processes, and create and/or manage operational metrics.
Anticipate risks and explore mitigating actions to effectively resolve issues with projects and operational processes.
In partnership with team members, collect needed data, complete analyses, and provide summaries for assigned area.
Lead the creation, integration, and maintenance of process and business documentation for assigned area, including maintenance of team collaboration sites.
Provide support in representing business process perspectives in definition of business architecture, and identification of business implications
Contributes to development of methodologies and standards for BPM-related activities such as process mapping, modeling of inter-process relationships, business rule definition, and the creation & maintenance of repositories of process information.
Consults with process owners and others in the business to ensure consistent and effective management & optimization of clinical development business processes.
Ensures the effective integration of BPM with Quality across the CDDA.
Facilitates the development of cross-functional and cross-organizational business processes and solutions that are aligned to business strategy and enable the achievement of organizational goals
Manage vendor financial requirements as needed, including requests, contracts, purchase orders, change orders, reports, invoicing, etc.
Coach and train others as needed, to ensure the effective implementation and execution of business processes.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a science- or health-related field or a technology discipline, preferred.
A minimum of three years project management experience preferred.
