Are you a software engineer looking to join an enterprise software company in a pivotal DevOps role?

We are looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to join the DevOps Core Tools Team. Working in a globally distributed team you'll be supporting the IT infrastructure, application services and tools essential to Citrix Engineering Teams worldwide.

We'll help you build your DevOps knowledge in a team responsible for a range of areas:

• Build and Continuous Integration systems,
• Source code management systems,
• Static code analysis tools.
   

The remit of the team is to lead our software developers by pioneering new ways to make the software development and delivery process more efficient. We own and run our own Hypervisor VMs, storage arrays and servers to improve flexibility and performance.

You'll assist with ensuring system uptime and the responsiveness of critically important tools used by Engineering as well as responding to feature requests or bug reports.

The successful candidate will be encouraged to help develop, test, maintain and debug the tools and services operated by the team. This is a role that is seen as a pillar of productivity where your work can impact 1000’s of Citrix employees every day.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Help evaluate new tools with the aim of improving the efficiency of software development within Citrix
• Install and test new services, typically with web based front-ends and SQL database back-ends, running on Linux
• Fine tune, customise and extend off the shelf applications to meet the needs of our Engineering Teams.
• Support and maintain always available services with minimal downtime and 99.9%+ uptime
• The role will require being part a distributed team who operate an on-call rota in order to ensure services are available 24x7
