Description:
This is a part time, contract position that will run for 40 weeks from Feb 2025 to August 2025. This role will need to be available for live sessions with program participants twice a week for 3-hours per session. Between attending the live session, providing office hours and asynchronous work, we estimate the total time commitment for this role to be 6-10 hours per week.
Management And Support (During Live Program - Weeks 1-22)
- Attend all LIVE lectures and provide support for the training program as listed below:
- Cloud Operations Program(6 hours per week) - Feb 25, 2025 - July 24, 2025 on Tues/Thurs from 11-2pm EST
- Provide one hour of “Drop - In Office Hours/Review Session” per week (1 hour per week)
- Attend the TA Weekly Meeting (30 min each week)
- Be available for 1:1 office hour requests with assigned learners based on availability. You may set these hours within our parameters, for your convenience. (up to max 6 hours per week)
- Complete grading of Fellow’s deliverables (2 hours each week)
- Work with fellow instructors and the Correlation One team on ways to improve learner experience
Class Support On Non-lecture Days
- Monitor your Slack channel to answer Learners’ questions
- Review the materials for the week so you are prepared to answer questions
- Contribute to course design improvement through thoughtful feedback to Correlation One team
- Participate in the weekly meeting (time TBD)
- Submit weekly write-ups summarizing the week’s accomplishments and challenges. This is due by Monday at 8pm EST each week
- Monitor the Slack channels throughout the day to answer Fellows’ questions
- Hold live office hours during weekdays
Class support on lecture days
- Monitor appropriate Slack channels and answer Learners’ questions
- Support Learners who are experiencing technical issues accessing training platform or materials
- Hold Individual Office Hours via Zoom weekly with Learners to assist in their Capstone Project
Your expertise
- 3-5 years of professional work experience in Cloud Support, Cloud Engineering, Software Engineering, Networking, DevOps, etc.
- A desire to support students in expanding their careers in technical roles
- Empathy, flexibility, patience; passion for working with diverse learners who are new to content
- Outstanding team and people management skills; exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and willingness to understand and use new learning and content management systems
- Certification in AWS Cloud Practitioner, Comp TIA Network+, and Comp TIA Linux+
