Are you looking to work as a contractor for a major EPC Contractor with the possibility to work on a rotation on their portfolio of 400kv & 132kv substations in the UK or work on their other Irish substation projects after this project? Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commissioning process for protection and control systems in 220kV substations.
  • Conduct thorough testing of protection relays, control systems, and associated equipment to ensure compliance with design specifications and operational requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues encountered during commissioning, working closely with engineering teams and contractors.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning documentation, including test reports, procedures, and records.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and adherence to project timelines.
  • Ensure all commissioning activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years' experience in commissioning protection and control systems in high-voltage substation projects, preferably at 220kV.
  • Proficiency in protection relay testing, control system commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for high-voltage substation protection and control systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation.
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site as required.
