UCC wishes to appoint the UCC Research Communications Officer. The post holder will play a key role in ensuring the timely and appropriate dissemination of the activities, successes, potential and expertise across UCC’s research community across print, social and other media forms.
The post holder will report to the Director of Research Strategy and Projects in UCC Research, a constituent function of the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI). There will also be key connectivity with the Head of Media and Public Relations, UCC. The post holder will be a central member of the UCC Research team, also working closely with communications colleagues in UCC Innovation, the Office of Marketing and Communications, the Colleges, Research Centres, Institutes and the Tyndall National Institute, among others. This will ensure the alignment and appropriate amplification of key communications from across the UCC research community.
This is a very exciting opportunity to support UCC’s research community in maximising their reach and impact. The post holder will work in a fast-paced and challenging environment requiring the ability to rapidly translate complex specialist research output to relatable and accessible content. Exceptional written, oral and presentation skills are required to confidently present clear, comprehensive information to a very diverse range of stakeholders.
