Description:
An Engineering Standards/Safety Engineering Manager is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Dublin based client. The Safety Engineering Manager will be a key figure to ensure the effective asset risk control strategy and capital inputs across Established Pharmaceutical Operations (EPO) identifying the need for asset upgrades and exchange due to standards and Highly Protected status strategies. Also, will be the main interface with divisional quality and EHS functions in different continuous improvement workstreams with Engineering and maintenance local teams. THE ROLE:
* Conduct Corporate Engineering Standards , Safety Engineering assessments across EPO sites as well as building site roadmaps and ensure implementation.
* Lead and support Engineering teams in sites to include actions & capital input in Site Master Plan as well as EPO long range planning to reduce Risk Index and versus Corporate standard new requirements.
* Participate in the technical committees to design and review AEngineering Standards. Assess the impact in the EPO organization of those changes.
* Support HPS-COMPETE roadmap from Engineering:
- Industrial Hygiene, Containment strategies, Electrical & Warehouse safety
- Co-lead with EHS standardization of LOTO across sites and help Maintenance/Engineering crew implementing the new software and integration of it with CMMS work orders process.
- Develop/ensure that equipment safety maintenance procedure is standardized across sites and implement; such as in Fluid bed dryers or High Shear Mixers to prevent explosion and fire or on arc flash risk assessment.
- Build and roll out Safety by Design program supporting User Requirement Specifications inputs
Core Job Responsibilities:
* Lead thoroughly implementation of ES roadmaps
* Lead with EHS and site Maintenance leader the implementation of best practices standards in maintenance procedure of equipment and LOTO
* Develops Safety by design requirement to be included in user specification when procuring new equipment
* Participate in front end planning reviews to ensure compliance with ES
* Design and review ES and assess the impact in the EPO organization of those changes through participation into the Corporate technical committees.
Position Accountability/Scope:
* Divisional scope across regions and functions, main point of contact in ES and Safety Engineering standards
* Site Maintenance teams and Asset Lifecycle management director to assess investments, procedures, asset condition assessments
* Main point of contact for Corporate Global Engineering Services SMEs and AES committees to design, evaluate and review Engineering Standards
REQUIREMENTS:
* Master’s Degree in Engineering with additional studies/professional Master’s in Health & Safety Engineering
* At least 5 years of experience in similar position or green field/brown field pharmaceutical construction projects
* Solid understanding of Engineering standards and Safety & Maintenance procedures
* Baseline understanding of related CMMS software.
* Knowledge and experience in project management.
* Languages: Fluent written and spoken English; .....Spanish and Russian are a large plus.
