Description:
The role will focus on supporting the development of transport models for operational assessment and / or scheme appraisal. With the support of the Modelling and Appraisal, Public Transport, Development and Infrastructure and Transport Planning teams, you will play a key role in delivering projects.
You will also be required to:
- Support in the development and implementation of transport planning strategies and policies that align with client needs and industry best practices.
- Be part of a team of transport planners and engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their transport planning needs and develop tailored solutions that meet their objectives.
- Support research and analysis to identify emerging transport trends and technologies that could benefit clients and advising on their application.
- Engage with stakeholders, such as local government authorities and community organisations, to gather input and feedback on transport planning projects.
Experience Required
- Holding a Level 8 or 9 degree in civil engineering would be beneficial but not essential.
- Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng MIEI or equivalent)
- Understanding of development and application of simulation/strategic models desirable
- Data analysis (including spreadsheets and databases) and problem-solving
- Reporting of model results
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent report writing skills highly beneficial.
