In this role, you will support the development and delivery of the consumer communications strategy for Bord Bia at home and abroad and work to ensure Bord Bia receives effective coverage and profile in line with the organisation’s mission..
What you’ll do
Develop and deliver Bord Bia’s consumer communications strategy in Ireland in line with the organisation’s strategic priorities.
Manage the media and communications campaign for Bord Bia Bloom, Ireland’s largest gardening and food festival in the Phoenix Park
Develop and deliver media and communications campaigns for the Bord Bia Quality Mark, fresh produce and gardening sectors in partnership with Brand and Sector Managers.
Act as a key member of Bord Bia’s Communications Team, playing a central role in the press office function and supporting colleagues with media and communications requests.
Manage Bord Bia’s Irish consumer social media channels, Facebook and Instagram, including content development and community management.
Manage and deliver Bord Bia’s influencer strategy and engagement.
Support colleagues across the organisation with the development of consumer and trade media and communications plans, communications strategies and content development.
Build and maintain relationships with media, industry and other key external stakeholders in Ireland.
Provide project support to the Corporate Marketing and Communications Manager.
Manage and mentor a Global Graduate.
Provide administration support, manage budgets and carry out additional duties and tasks as required.
About You
Essential Knowledge, Skills Capabilities
Knowledge:
Degree level qualification in relevant discipline e.g. Communications, Marketing, PR, Business, or relevant communications professional qualification.
Current trends in media, digital media, social media platforms and influencer marketing.
Understanding internal and external mediums of communication, including a busy press office function
Skills Capabilities:
3 years' relevant consumer media and PR experience.
Excellent press release, copywriting and editing skills.
Proven track record in running effective PR and social media campaigns.
Experience in digital media, social media platforms and influencer marketing.
Proven experience working within a busy press office function and media relations experience.
PR and communications agency management experience.
Financial planning and budget management to ensure efficiency and value for money.
Collaboration to ensure effective relationship and teamwork across the marketing function and across the business.
