Corporate Accountant

PartnerRe's Corporate Accounting Team is expanding to provide increased support to the growing business of the company and increased reporting requirements. The team is very committed and hard-working and supports the Company’s finance function globally.

The Corporate Accounting Team is primarily made up of experienced accountants. There are currently 17 people in the team and itnever fails to amaze us just how close and supportive they are of each other. Not only do they work well together but they have established great working relationships with all the business units that they support globally. Day to day duties include:

• Contribute to the USGAAP and other local STAT/GAAP ledgers quarterly closing process, including GL population, accounts analysis, reconciliations, and group consolidation.
• Work with various teams in the preparation of global regulatory quarterly/annual returns, such as, Solvency II, Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), and local statistical returns in Ireland, Switzerland, Bermuda and U.S.
• Work with various teams in the preparation of legal entities’ financial statements across the PartnerRe Group.
• Work with the External Reporting and Group Tax teams on the preparation of Corporation tax, VAT/GST filings for various PartnerRe entities.
• Support the completion of internal and external audits.
• Support the Corp Acc managers in any projects that may arise.
   

Qualifications
 

About you:

• Part Qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA with commensurate experience.
• Experience with USGAAP monthly/quarterly closing process and accounting in a multicurrency, multi-entity landscapes an advantage.
• Strong accounting experience to handle complex double entries bookings.
• Excellentcommunication and collaboration skills, highly organised and capable of working in an international and culturally diverse environment, with a high degree of autonomy.
• Strong Excel / MS Office skills
