Description:
The successful candidate will own, promote and continuously develop Kellogg’s business strategy for Customs & International Trade. He or she will be required to:
Develop & document the company’s Customs Strategy
- Regularly review against the latest legislation & European Kellogg strategy (Supply Chain, Tax, Commercial, etc) to optimize Kellogg’s Customs position (identify duty savings) on importation & exportation.
- Develop effective working relationships with both internal stakeholders and external advisors.
- Leading and Managing Kellogg Customs and Trade team in Kellogg Shared Service Centre (GBS). The Kellogg Customs and Trade team will report to this role.
- Maintain effective working relationships with Customs authorities.
- Ensuring Kellogg complies with Customs and international trading regulations
- Be the principal point of contact for:
- customs audits and reviews - and those of other jurisdictions
- customs and import VAT enquiries, including being the main interface with customs authorities in the different territories with customs presence.
- Track the development & issue of Foreign Trade Agreements and changes to the rules of preferential origin (ROO)
- Communicate any major changes to the ROO to the Markets impacted
- Ensure that the origin of Kellogg Finished Products is accurately determined (supported by Regulatory, RQNT & finance functions)
- Producing and maintaining Long Term Supplier Agreements for Kellogg & Pringles Manufacturing Plants
- Producing and maintaining Long Term Supplier Agreements for Distributors – as required, e.g. CEE & Netherlands
- Ensuring Long Term Supplier Agreements are obtained from CoManufacturers and are kept up to date
- Short term - Maintain the EUR1 database and list of non-compliant products
- Input into Procurement Strategy for sourcing Raw Materials from inside the EU
- Ongoing monitoring of AEO status & validity of invoice declarations
- Maintain the rules to be used for accurate determination of customs value for both imports and exports
- Sets the criteria that need to be used by the GBS team to validate the import and export declarations
- Be the “Go-To” person – both internally and externally - on all aspects of Kellogg’s Customs & Trade Management
