Description:

We have an exciting opportunity to join a US Multinational company, as a Data Analyst. The ideal candidate will have some industry experience in a regulated environment (manufacturing, finance, etc) and must be very strong in advanced excel. This is a contract role of 12 months with a potential opportunity for an extension/permanency. The contractor will operate on a hybrid modal. It will be predominantly remote however attendance on-site may be expected one or two times per month.

The Data Analyst will be responsible for generating data to support trending of licensing and medical device reports utilising data that resides in the Quality System. This will include detailed data reports (e.g. graphs, charts, tables) prepared for routine trending, senior management reviews, ad-hoc requests, and cross-functional requests as needed (e.g. Regulatory, Marketing ). The Data Analyst will establish and maintain complex reporting formulae and templates using reporting tools such as Excel and other databases

  • Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports and presentations
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimises statistical efficiency and quality
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and correct formulae errors
  • Identify, compare, and resolve data quality problems. Evaluate large datasets for quality and accuracy.
  • Generate weekly reports and disseminate as per prior schedule
  • Work with management to prioritise business and information needs
  • Develop process improvements to enhance overall data quality.
  • Maintain a record of original data and corrected data.
  • Ensure adherence to data quality standards.
  • Responding to queries in a timely manner and prioritising the customer.

  • Advanced Excel skills include the ability to produce graphs and tables, use spreadsheets efficiently, and perform calculations and automation to process large volumes of data.
    • Create Pivot tables
    • Use VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP
    • Concatenate function
  • Other Microsoft Office package experience (Word, PowerPoint etc)
