Data Center Engineer

Description:

We are partnered up with a Global cloud computing and storage platform organisation who are looking for a Data Centre Engineering operations Specialist to join their team in Dublin, Ireland.

Responsibilities

•Operations & Maintenance (O&M)

-Perform routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and troubleshooting on assigned electrical or HVAC systems.

•Risk Management & Quality

-Assurance: Identify and mitigate operational risks, implement quality control measures, and adhere to strict safety protocols.

•Process Optimization

- Contribute to the development and improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance procedures, and emergency operating procedures (EOPs).

•Technical Expertise

- Provide technical guidance and support during infrastructure upgrades, renovations, and incident response.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of data center power systems (including UPS, generators, switchgear), cooling systems (CRAC/CRAH units, chillers), or low-voltage systems.
• Familiarity with building management systems (BMS), SCADA, and other relevant monitoring and control tools.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, Uptime Institute).
• Mandarin language skills are a plus.
