Description:
This position reports directly to the EMEA Head of Privacy and will be a member of the global Privacy Compliance Group. Supporting the EMEA Head of Privacy, you will be responsible for promoting a data protection culture across the business that promotes the safeguarding of all of MetLife’s data subject’s personal information (including but not limited to employees and customers). This position will have a focus upon both the EMEA region and enterprise-wide initiatives for MetLife that support our global framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysing data protection laws and regulations and advising the business on data protection and privacy matters.
- Deputising for the Head of Privacy and DPO as required and supporting as contact point for regulators and data subjects.
- framework initiatives to develop and initiate core framework controls and supporting policy and procedure documentation.
- Leading as required and maintaining cross-functional working groups to coordinate data protection efforts, including current projects and initiatives and regulatory awareness across the MetLife Enterprise in regions across the globe.
- Supporting the development and roll out of privacy training, communications, and awareness campaigns (both mandatory and targeted training) across the enterprise to reinforce privacy policies, procedures, and practices.
- Executing data protection and privacy monitoring and testing reviews at a central and regional level and overseeing local monitoring and testing activities.
- Leading enterprise-wide assessments of privacy risk assessments, including completion of data protection impact assessments (DPIA) and third-party risk assessments under the Compliance Risk Management Program.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders, including maintaining stakeholder cooperation and support for team activities, findings, remediation, and outputs.
- Maintaining up to date knowledge of data protection legislation and regulation, using external networks and events to understand industry standards and recognised best practice.
- Supporting the Head of Privacy and DPO to meet Board, Committee and other reporting requirements.
