Description:
The purpose of this post is to:
- Inform and advise persons in CHI who are processing personal data of their obligations under the Regulations and other data protection legislation;
- Monitor compliance with the Regulations, with data protection legislation and with the data protection policies of CHI and the HSE;
- Raise awareness and arrange training of CHI staff involved in processing operations;
- Provide advice where requested as regard to Data Protection Impact Assessment and monitor it;
- Co-operate with the Data Protection Commission as the Supervisory Authority and act as a contact point on issues related to the processing of personal data, including prior consultation;
Act as the Point of Contact on all issues related to the processing of personal data and the exercise of rights under the Regulations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in subject relevant to the role.
- Expert knowledge of the law and the practice relating to the protection of personal data, and the ability to lead out the functions specified in the Act.
- Successful track record of developing and embedding a data protection/privacy programme that ensures early awareness and ownership of privacy risks.
- Significant experience of monitoring risk compliance and performance reporting, as relevant to the role.
- Experience of influencing and working collaboratively cross functionally with multiple internal and external stakeholders as relevant to this role.
