IBM is seeking an intern to join the QRadar OnCloud DevOps teams. Reporting to a DevOps Manager you will have opportunity to design, code, test and deploy new product features. You will also be exposed to build automation, perform a variety of DevOps work, product documentation, and work within a global team.
As a member of the QRadar on Cloud DevOps Team, you will be responsible for maintaining and extending the capabilities of IBM's QRadar Cloud offerings. At the cross roads of cloud technology and secure computing, this is a challenging and rewarding environment.
You will be expected to demonstrate solid conceptual and technical skills as you develop, implement, and eventually help to run core infrastructure components.
Responsibilities:

• Work as part of an Agile team and responsible for quality.
• Design, code, test and deploy product features in collaboration with team members.
• Help to maintain, support, and optimize development environments to enable continuous software delivery.
• Contribute to product and development approaches documentation.
• You will help your team find and resolve technical debt using agile development practices
• You will help your team support and run your services in production in a DevOps-oriented fashion
• Do appropriate education, planning, and follow-through to stay technically current.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Having an eye for detail and curiosity on how things work and why things do not
work.
Experience with Linux operating systems.
Experience with two or more of the following: Java, SQL, Bash, Python, Git.
Professionalism in verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage workload to meet specific deadlines.
Must work effectively as part of an agile team and be able to exercise independent
judgment. within defined guidelines and procedures

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience using Agile methodologies
Knowledge of the software development process in general.
Experience with developing and maintaining code.
Interest in Cloud computing, Internet/Network Security.
