Hermitage Clinic has established a Digital Change Team to drive the digitalisation of the business – in order to:
- Further enhance patient safety
- Deliver improved employee and customer (patient, GP, consultant and Payor) experiences
- Drive process efficiency and transparency
- Deliver improved sustainable profitability in the business
Data and Applications are central to delivery of the Digital Agenda. New and/or enhanced data models, middleware, APIs, applications will be specified, selected, configured and implemented. The Digital Applications Specialist will lead out on these activities – in conjunction with the Digital Change Team, the business and relevant third party vendors. This is a critical role in driving the Digital agenda at Hermitage Clinic. The role holder is accountable, in partnership with the business, for delivering best of class employee and customer experiences in the healthcare sector.
- Helping define new solutions and workflows across the hospital as part of the digital vision
- Collaboration with hospital staff, consultants, patients and GPs to identify and assess opportunities arising for HC and its employees and customers through adoption of current and emerging digital technologies
- Architecting new solutions, workflows, or features across the hospital
- Innovation – researching and surfacing new applications, platforms, processes, integrations, interfaces designed to drive improved employee and customer experiences
- Application of Lean methodology across the business
- Process mapping ‘AS-IS’ and ‘TO-BE’ as may be required
- Writing requirements documentation (such as Request for Information / Proposals)
- Working with Head of Digital Change on best practices and opportunities for implementing digital technology solutions to help advance the digital agenda
- Participation in the implementation of new technologies and platforms, providing support in integrated testing when required, guiding end user testing and providing support during implementations as directed, ensuring smooth transition to Service Delivery
- Provision of clear and thorough documentation of, but not restricted to, change control, testing and development notes
- Monitoring, understanding and effectively communicating the implications of digital changes and the impacts on hospital operations.
- Effectively communicating with Head of Digital Change relating ideas, issues and concerns related the proposals and implantations.
- Protecting patient confidentiality at all times and adherence to IT policies and procedures.
- Promoting a patient centred culture of openness and responsiveness
- Excellent English both spoken and written
- Identifies as a technologist and has a proven record of using technology to solve problems.

- Strong business process analysis and redesign
- An understanding of relevant external environments and/or platforms with which hospital processes/ applications are required to interface
