As digital transformation continues to accelerate, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Digital Commerce Team Lead within our Digital Applications & Analytics Team at Colgate Palmolive, based in Dublin.
The ideal candidate has a strong software development background, with expertise in eCommerce platform architecture and infrastructure, and integrating Customer Service & Logistics and Pricing services from an ERP platform. They will be self-motivated, curious, performance driven, with a passion about the role of technology in transforming businesses and delivering value. They have experience in coaching and leading a team, providing clear direction on focus and value. They are equally comfortable communicating with technical resources as well as commercial and creative talent and have a strong understanding of the technology levers that drive success in an eCommerce environment.

As Digital Commerce Team Lead, you will connect the dots between business strategy and how technology can support the strategy to drive growth. You will partner with our Global Digital Applications team & regional commercial teams in Europe and Africa/Eurasia to deliver scaled business value through the implementation of Digital Commerce Technology. Immediate projects will include setting up D2C and B2B sites for our Skin Health, Oral Care and Pet Nutrition businesses in the region.

• Understand the Digital Commerce global technology strategy

• Partner with regional commercial business teams to understand existing solutions, and the opportunities to apply global strategy to drive growth and add value

• Understand dependencies and integration needs for regional systems and define strategy and roadmap for these

• Work with Product and Infrastructure teams to ensure strategy is implemented in required timeframes and delivers required performance, reliability and scale

• Work closely with internal team and external partners to ensure new developments align with roadmap and integrate seamlessly with other platform components

• Lead and empower the team to deliver digital commerce technology for growth in the regions, define work assignments and coach the team for development and growth.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or similar degree

• Experience with Digital Commerce platforms such as Shopify, SAP Commerce Cloud, VTEX, etc.

• A functional understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, etc.

• Experience with Customer Service & Logistics and Pricing integration

• Practical experience of agile project management and technology enablement - managing the delivery of digital initiatives - demonstrating effective coordination of business and technology stakeholders

• Communicating effectively with all levels

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity

• Hands-on “can do” approach, with willingness to learn and adapt quickly

• A natural curiosity for how Digital Commerce can drive growth
