About the Role

Reporting into the Head of Corporate Affairs for Energy Customer Solutions and working as part of a wider communications and policy team, the role holder will be responsible for producing written, online and multimedia content for our Customer businesses. Material will be utilised for internal and external audiences through a blend of written, audio and visual formats, and across multiple channels. You will work with members of the communications team to deliver a key component of the business’ internal and external communications activity, helping to drive engagement and influence through digital means.

Key Responsibilities for the role will include:

  • Delivering for the retail business by producing high-quality, engaging multimedia and digital content including video, presentation, imagery and interactive media.
  • Supporting the internal and external communications objectives of the business and its senior leadership teams by driving engagement across multiple platforms.
  • Managing content platforms, uploading, editing and promoting content as relevant.
  • Briefing and managing third-party suppliers, freelancers and designers to ensure on-time delivery of assets.
  • Designing and implementing a strategic digital communications plan and content strategy targeted at social media communities.
  • Collaborating with the broader marketing team to ensure the digital communications strategy feeds into content aligning with wider company objectives.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • A demonstrated interest and experience in digital media and design, with a portfolio of engaging visual and written content.
  • Experience of updating website content.
  • Experience of using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Premiere Pro or similar video editing platforms.
  • Experience of organising and creating video, podcasts and webinars.
  • Experience in using content SEO techniques to shape strategy and creative assets.
  • Proficiency in designing, managing and delivering projects with demonstrable outcomes.
  • A collaborative, creative and motivated individual who can work well within the wider comms team.
