Digital Experience Developer

 

Description:

The Digital Experience Developer will report into the Digital Marketing Service (DMS) Lead and will be responsible for leading and conducting the Web page Development activities for the Production team during critical stages of program life cycle.

She/he will have full ownership of one or more elements of a GDMP group program/project for Web front end development, including scheduling and planning, with a focus on Innovation, Automation deployment and for obtaining cost efficiencies. They will ensure that the project results meet or exceed local and global expectations which he/she will frequently report back to the DMS Lead.

She/he is directly responsible for developing and maintaining good customer relationships, driving Innovation and Operational efficiencies at the activity level, while ensuring customer expectations are met and/or exceeded and maintaining highest levels of overall quality and efficiency.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop Web pages to the highest quality standards on time and fully SEO compliant and are responsive
    • Includes the Validation and quality checking of the web pages and emails created or modified
  • Directly responsible for the creation and modification of required Web and Email templates
  • Fixes bugs and issues, and execute requests as requested by Lionbridge or client teams
    • Escalates difficult issues (post thorough investigation) to the DMS Lead
  • Implement client requested PRE and POST LIVE customisations
  • Actively participate in Process Improvement and Innovation across the entire global team:
    • Enable Automation & Innovation extreme across the program/ project(s)
    • Improve and enhance all relevant Production processes with metric driven data
    • Contribute to the planning and deployment of increased automation for the project
    • Develop and maintain best practices/processes for the program/project using the LSS program
  • Coach and train global project resources as needed
  • Provide applicable technical support to the global team
  • Assist in troubleshooting technical issues with the client team
  • Work with the DMS Lead for team capacity and planning
  • Contribute to the generation of estimates of the effort required for Web Development activities
  • Attend all calls with the customer (as needed)
  • Contact the customer directly on high priority issues or for areas of ownership
  • Report on Production status and all program/project issues to DMS lead and PM team
  • Conduct research into new technologies or operational methodology as required
  • Work with the DMS Lead on the development and design for future additional Digital Marketing services and offerings
  • Any additional tasks required as the role evolves



Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree-level education in a technical/editorial discipline or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in an online environment
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' working with CMS/publishing/Editorial platforms
  • Technical expertise preferably experience of varied CMS
  • Expertise in SEO and SEM
  • Metrics and reporting skills
  • Proven customer service mindset
  • History of meeting and exceeding deliverables
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently within diverse Web development teams
  • Ability to take ownership of a Web Development activities and drive efficiencies
  • Ability to work self-sufficiently within a team environment
  • Excellent communication with high standard of written and spoken English via email, reports, presentations and working with clients
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, XML, JQuery, and JavaScript
  • Excellent knowledge of common productivity applications (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Will possess a problem solving ability; show high level initiative and enthusiasm; and attention to detail
  • Positive attitude
