A Digital Innovation Research Lead is required to support a MN med device client based in Cork . This is a 12 month initial contract role. Please contact Diarmuid Buckley for further details.
Role of this position
- Conduct research, collaborate actively with multiple segments and stakeholders and to develop cutting edge technologies.
- Lead and support innovation projects that align with business needs.
- Leading and participating in teams, leveraging Innovation Engine concepts to evaluate and demonstrate new and breakthrough technologies while partnering with business and other key functions to establish the overall business benefit that can be achieved.
- Developing new collaborative partnerships with internal and external functions to develop frameworks to explore, develop and test new capabilities and solutions.
- Drive and support the enterprise focus areas of Smart Asset Management (including Predictive Maintenance) Adaptive & Predictive Control, Track and Trace, Digital Worker, also including key areas such as Vision Systems, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
- Participate in the development of the new innovation strategies and develop technology roadmaps in collaboration with internal and external partners and industry bodies with view to driving and supporting ultimate adoption and value realization
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or related fields. Master's or higher degree is preferred. Experience with machine learning and computer vision preferred.
- Strong software development experience in C/C++ and Python is required.
- 8 + years of professional experience in R&D and/or Technology related roles required.
- Experience in the development of deep learning applications is preferred
- Experience with TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, OpenCV, MS Azure is preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of systems, architectural landscapes and infrastructures and a clear understanding of enterprise systems and processes
