Digital Life Story Coordinator

The Digital Life Story Project is an innovative approach to creating life stories through technology. This project promotes the creation of life stories in a multi-media platform (that includes photos, text, video clips and personalised music) for individuals with an intellectual disability who are at risk for developing Alzheimer’s dementia (AD) as they age.

This is an exciting opportunity for a resourceful person to join the Avista Memory Clinic team and gain experience at project work with a focus on supporting creative person centred care. Avista is linked to the National Intellectual Disability Memory Service based in Tallaght University Hospital. It is envisioned that the outcome from this project will inform best practice supporting a holistic approach to dementia care.

Applicants should have the following :

• RNID qualification desired but applications from other healthcare disciplines are also welcome.

• Have an interest in, and/or experience in Dementia

• Have an interest in digital technology

• Have proven organisational, leadership, communication, interpersonal and teambuilding skills

• Be committed to pro actively supporting service users in their daily lives and choices through a person centered approach

• Have an organisational commitment to lead through the Avista values and vision

• Have a Full Clean valid Driving Licence

• Applicants should possess Level 1 behavioral competencies of Avista competency framework as set out in the job description.
