Description:
Working within the Marketing and Student Recruitment Department, the role holder will take ownership of the day-to-day maintenance of the NCI website, becoming the main point of contact internally for website changes and updates. The role holder will contribute knowledge of best practice for SEO, UX and writing for the web. The position requires auditing and updating the site on an ongoing basis, working with content editors to ensure consistency in design and copy across the site and working with web developers to troubleshoot any technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:
Website
- Daily administration of the NCI website to include:
- Creating pages and new content for ncirl.ie
- Auditing the website on a continuous basis
- Troubleshooting technical issues
- Continuously working on the site’s SEO
- Creating landing pages for lead generation purposes
- Train content editors to make edits to department web pages.
- Assist departments in the development of their online presence.
- Work with web developers to carry out technical SEO amendments and adjustments.
- Contribute knowledge of user experience and consumer user journeys in the ongoing development of the site.
- Create optimised landing pages for the purposes of lead generation.
- Use Google Analytics and Siteimprove to report on the functioning of the site.
Content Creation
- Work as a member of NCI’s digital team to deliver the college’s annual digital content calendar, contributing engaging content that supports the college’s communications and events including but not limited to blog posts, webpages, videos, and images.
General Marketing Team Responsibilities
- Assist with marketing events and external education fairs as required. This can involve occasional evening or weekend work.
Key Attributes:
- A relevant third-level qualification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in administering and managing websites, including proficiency with content management systems and HTML.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Visual content creation skills including videography and photography desired.
- A working knowledge of SEO, CRM and SMM principles.
- Experience with Google Tag Manager a plus.
- Genuine interest in the more technical elements of digital marketing.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- An ability to work to tight deadlines is essential.
