Divisional Head Of Risk

Description:

This role is a substantial role for the Division, supporting the Director of Risk & Compliance to mature the risk culture and profile of the services the division provides to the Customer and the Group, with a specific focus on the Change and Regulatory agenda!

In this role, you will:

Ensures the GTCS division's risk profile aligns with and is maintained in line with risk appetite as approved by the Board and provides transparency where the risk profile is anticipated to move outside of risk appetite.

Lead out on behalf of the team on the Regulatory agenda including management and oversight of regulatory returns, tracking of and responding to regulatory obligations, preparing for engagements with regulators and divisional regulatory reporting.

• Lead the division on the operational improvement agenda which includes process mapping and risk and control overlay as we shift towards a process led approach to operational risk management.

• Support the implementation of the revised Group Risk Management Framework across the team ensuring adherence to Operational Risk, Conduct Risk and Regulatory requirements.

• Liaise with and actively support business divisions to lead their risk profile, ensuring proportionate and consistent identification, assessment, monitoring, mitigation & reporting of risks and associated controls

• Build and maintain strong trusted partner relationships across Senior Management levels within Group Technology & Customer Solutions and positively influence the efficiency / effectiveness of the division's risk management and the commercial agenda.

• Deputise for the Risk & Compliance Director as the need arises.

Crucial Experience

• Extensive experience of operating at a senior risk management level in a financial services organisation

• Proven track record in risk and regulatory management in Financial Services

• Understanding of the key Industry wide compliance agenda

• Credibility, seniority and independence to influence proposals or challenge decisions which affect GTCS exposure to risk and compliance

• Up to date knowledge of regulatory and industry guidelines
