KNOW THE ROLE

Leadership of Own Buy and Concession Teams: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the own buy and concession teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensure high team morale, effective performance management, and development through tailored coaching, mentorship, and support.
Onboarding and Integration: Oversee the seamless integration and performance of all new team members and their mentors, ensuring they are equipped to excel in their roles. Drive a structured onboarding process that aligns with departmental goals and fosters long-term success.
Elevating Standards and Benchmarks: Continuously elevate departmental benchmarks and operational standards by implementing innovative development programs, advanced coaching techniques, and rigorous performance management.
Sales Performance and Opportunity Maximisation: Closely monitor division sales (including own buy and concession), identifying emerging opportunities and potential risks. Implement targeted strategies to maximise revenue and achieve business objectives.
Concession Business Optimisation: Regularly review and assess concession business performance, establishing ambitious improvement targets and addressing any challenges promptly. Collaborate with concession partners, including Area Managers to drive growth and enhance profitability.
Sales Target Achievement: Inspire and lead your team to consistently exceed sales targets through advanced product knowledge, effective link selling, superior after-sales service, and comprehensive awareness of all store services. Cultivate a sales-driven culture that prioritises customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Market Intelligence and Feedback: Actively evaluate customer feedback via the business’ internal system and market trends. Provide insightful recommendations to Department Managers to refine strategies, improve the customer experience, and stay ahead of industry trends.
Strategic Planning: Lead forward planning for key initiatives such as deliveries, events, and seasonal transitions, ensuring that the department is always prepared and optimally positioned to capitalize on market opportunities.
Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough price checks and competitive analysis, utilising insights to make strategic improvements that enhance the divisions’ competitive edge and value proposition.
Product Knowledge Mastery: Ensure that the team is thoroughly trained in product knowledge, empowering them to deliver exceptional service and expertise to customers.
Operational Excellence: Lead cross-functional operational teams, including Stockroom, Cash Office, and Administration, to drive the business forward with innovative and efficient processes. Continuously refine operations to support in-store and online fulfilment, optimising productivity and KPI achievement. Oversee project management initiatives to test and implement new operational processes that support the store’s growing scale.
Online Fulfilment Leadership: Take accountability for the leadership and performance of the online fulfilment team, ensuring that planning, team management, and KPI adherence are aligned with the store's broader business goals.
Customer Experience Optimisation: Minimise customer lost opportunities by developing and implementing clear, well-documented processes and systems that are effectively communicated to all stakeholders. Ensure seamless execution across all steps of the customer journey.
Innovation and Change Leadership: Champion innovation and drive transformative change across the department, continually seeking out and implementing the best models for team structure, service delivery, store environment, and profitability.
