Description:
We are currently seeking a motivated Electrical Project Engineer to join our Clients team in Dublin.
The ideal candidate will showcase exceptional technical proficiency and a proven track record in electrical design, construction, safety, and client satisfaction.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Conduct a comprehensive design review of drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure compliance with applicable standards and industry guides. Ensure works are installed according to project specifications and the Project QA plan, adhering to pre-agreed benchmarks.
- Develop alternative engineering solutions, including detailed calculations and sketches for client approval.
- Familiarize yourself with Design/IFC specifications and drawings to comprehend the project's scope, ensuring compliance with specifications and schedule priorities. Generate/manage Requests for Information (RFI) for client communication.
- Utilize engineering software tools such as Dialux or Relux, Amtech Pro Design, Navisworks, BIM 360, Procore, or equivalent.
- Review coordinated construction drawings and documentation, and prepare/monitor technical submittals for client approval.
- Conduct a detailed review of specialist supplier packages for compliance with project specifications, relevant industry standards, and design intent specifications.
- Prepare and monitor the procurement schedule in collaboration with the procurement team.
- Review BCAR preliminary inspection plans and coordinate with the quality team. Monitor LEED and BREEAM requirements as directed.
Role Requirements:
- Hold a Level 7/8 Degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Services Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Desirable: 3+ years of experience in a similar industry.
- Excellent IT skills, especially in AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Packages.
- Exceptional time management and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work both in a team and independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make decisions under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
