CHI will work with Epic Systems, a software company who are a world leader in this technology, to implement an electronic health record (EHR) system across the organisation, which will go live at the same time as the new hospital opens – as Ireland’s first fully digitalised hospital.

The EHR Integration Analyst Developer is a core member of the EHR team and will actively participate in the design, development, testing, support and maintenance of application integration activities for a range of existing hospital systems to a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

System integrations play a key role in the operation of CHI and the design, build and testing of application integrations between existing hospitals systems to and from the EHR system will be key to its implementation success.

The successful candidate will have strong technical and analytical skills in the area of data, databases, T-SQL, Web Services, Integration and software development. Previous experience within the healthcare industry would be of benefit but is not essential.

The successful candidate will work closely with clinical, business analysts, system administrators and external vendors to understand and provide feedback on complex functional requirements, identify gaps and technical limitations, propose solutions and workarounds and formalize solutions in technical design documents. Good communications and planning skills alongside experience of delivering to deadlines is therefore essential.

As part of this role the EHR Integration Analyst Developer will be required to attend Epic Systems training, possibly in the USA, leading to an internationally recognised qualification.

• Relevant 3rd level degree/post-graduate qualification plus at least 3 years’ experience in a relevant role, ideally in healthcare, Project Management, ICT or large organisational transformation projects
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development, ideally in digital healthcare, change management or quality improvement
• Demonstrated working knowledge of databases, SQL scripting and stored procedures in database engines such as Oracle, MSSQL and MySQL
• Demonstrated software development experience in languages such as JavaScript, Java, C#, ObjectScript etc.
• Demonstrated experience working with of some or all of the following: IHE, CDA, XDS, HL7, Web Services, APIs and data integration & Interoperability
