Electronic Health Record

CHI will work with Epic Systems, a software company who are a world leader in this technology, to implement an electronic health record (EHR) system across the organisation, which will go live at the same time as the new hospital opens – as Ireland’s first fully digitalised hospital.

The EHR Application Lead is a core member of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) team and along with leading a team, the post-holder is responsible for the design integrity of the Medicines Management or Oncology module and will participate in the configuration, testing, training, planning and evaluation of organisational readiness required for a successful EHR implementation. They will assist in the development of plans for go-live and subsequently support post go-live stabilisation and optimisation phases.

The post holder will manage, co-ordinate and lead a specified EHR Application team. They will work closely with the relevant EHR Senior Design and Delivery Manager to deliver the EHR, escalate any issues with the milestones or deliverables within their assigned module(s) and assist the wider EHR team to meet the needs of the operational, administrative and clinical deliverables of the CHI EHR programme.

As part of this role the EHR Application Lead will be required to attend Epic Systems training in the USA, leading to an internationally recognised qualification in system configuration.

• A Pharmacist registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) or be entitled to be so registered.
• Have at least three (3) years’ relevant post-registration experience.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development, ideally in digital healthcare, clinical pharmacy, change management or quality improvement.
